Dr. Brian Benham Recieves ASABE Blue Ribbon Award

Dr. Brian Benham, Associate Professor, was one of the authors of the team awarded Blue Ribbon status for the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) 2009 Educational Aids Competition, in the Publications, Short (less than 9 pages) category. The entry was entitled "Water Reuse: Using Reclaimed Water for Irrigation."

ASABE presents the Educational Aids Blue Ribbon Awards each year in recognition of "outstanding effort and achievement in the development of noteworthy educational aids." The competition encourages agricultural engineers in industry and public service (not limited to ASABE members) to strive for excellence in extension activities through the interchange of ideas on successful methods and techniques.

The ASABE Extension Committee manages the exhibits and judges the entries. Winning entries were displayed in the exhibit hall of the Grand Sierra Resort during the ASABE International Meeting held in Reno, NV in June 2009.
