Job Sheets:

The National Handbook of Conservation Practices Job Sheets were developed to support the National Conservation Buffer Initiative.

Alphabetical Listing:

NRCS periodically revises NHCP standards. All standards that are currently undergoing revision are located at ftp.ftw.nrcs.usda.gov/pub/nhcp/stddevel/draft. You will need to know the Conservation Practice number to recognize the correct file to download. Pending standards are in Word for Windows 6.0 or later format.

All standards are available in Portable Document Format (PDF) or Word for Windows 6.0. To view the files in PDF you will need to download the Adobe Acrobat Reader. The Word for Windows 6.0 files are available via File Transfer Protocal (FTP) to ftp.ftw.nrcs.usda.gov. If your browser does not support tables, you may use this FTP link to access the Conservation Practice Standards. You will need to know the Conservation Practice number to recognize the correct file to download.

Files downloaded directly from the FTP site are self extracting executable files. After downloading the file into your selected directory, simply execute the file. The file can be executed in DOS by typing in the filename in the directory where the file is located or in File Manager in Windows by clicking on the filename. You will need to exit DOS or File Manager to access the extracted Word for Windows 6.0 file.
