The Virginia Tech Student Chapter (EWB-VT) of EWB-USA provides opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to participate in community-driven development programs worldwide by collaborating with local partners to design and implement sustainable engineering projects, while creating transformative experiences and responsible leaders. Two projects, Uganda and Haiti, are currently led by BSE students.
The Student Branch of the Virginia Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society engages in a variety of service and social activities throughout the year, including Save Our Streams Biomonitoring at local streams, educational workshops, stream clean-ups, hiking, and other conservation activities. SWCS is an international, nonprofit organization that advocates the protection, enhancement, and wise use of soil, water, and related natural resources.
