Focus: River Morphodynamics and Floodplain Processes, Sediment Transport

Muhammad's primary research focuses on understanding sediment dynamics in river-floodplain systems using various tools, including numerical modeling and remote sensing data analysis. The ongoing part of this work investigates the influence of vegetation on sediment transport and the morphological stability of agricultural floodplains and floodplain channels.
The other part of his research focuses on sediment transport modeling in riverine systems, particularly emphasizing the fine sediment dynamics, aiming to enhance our understanding of how fine sediments move within river networks.
