Chloe Chiang

Chloe Chiang is a senior in Biological Systems Engineering from Herndon, Virginia. She is following the Ecological Engineering track and is pursuing a minor in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

During the school year, Chloe does undergraduate research with Dr. Czuba, working on a variety of fieldwork, lab work, and modeling analysis of riverine ecosystems. Outside of academics, she is a member of the Fountain Wars design team, which competes annually at the ASABE Annual International Meeting. She is also an active member of Team Tennis League.

Last summer, Chloe had an internship with Taylor Engineering in Jacksonville, Florida. Taylor Engineering is a coastal engineering consulting firm that works on water-related engineering, planning, and management-based projects. As a Water Resources intern, she created 1-D and 2-D models using various hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling software and supported the MT-2 team in the quality assurance process for flood map revisions.

As a BSE mentor, she hopes to provide support and guidance on classes, research, extracurriculars, and internships to underclassmen within the department.
