Ethan VonNida

Ethan VonNida is a junior in the BSE program from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is on the biotechnology pathway and is currently minoring in biomedical engineering. He is very interested in biomaterials and biopharmaceuticals and is considering attending graduate school.

Ethan was a member of the 2025 Fountain Wars design team, which placed second at the ASABE International Conference in Toronto. Last year, he worked as an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Wang’s Sustainable Environment Research Lab. Additionally, he is involved in the VT Rock Climbing Club and the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers.

Ethan enjoys staying active in his free time by going to the gym, biking, running, playing basketball, and rock climbing. He also loves collecting records, thrifting, and reading to spend time away from his phone.

He is looking forward to connecting with incoming BSE students as an ambassador. He is also excited to continue this year’s Fountain Wars team and research in the department.
