Julia Asadourian

Julia Asadourian is a junior in Biological Systems Engineering following the biotechnology path. She is also pursuing a minor in biomedical engineering. Julia is originally from New Hampshire but was drawn to Virginia Tech for the engineering program. She is extremely interested in synthetic biology for sustainable solutions and hopes to continue her education after graduation. 

Julia spent last summer working as an Environmental Health and Safety intern at PCC Structurals where she focused on improving safety conditions in a manufacturing facility. She has a lot of experience in the customer service industry as well from working in multiple restaurants. In her free time, Julia enjoys hiking, spending time outdoors, and spending time with friends. 

Julia has a strong interest in sustainability and potential biotechnical solutions for the environment. She is very passionate about BSE and is thankful for the great faculty within the department. Julia is excited to help students explore the BSE major!
